WACO, Texas – The National Collegiate Equestrian Association (NCEA) is set for ten meets in the seventh week of competition.
The Single Discipline Meet of the Week is No. 3 Sacred Heart at No. 2 Dartmouth, while No. 10 UC Davis and UT Martin being hosted by Delaware State will serve as a three-way Meet of the Week for Dual Discipline.
11/7 - No. 9 Baylor at No. 5 Oklahoma State / Live Results
- This will be OSU's third meet of the season, sitting at 1-1 after downing then-No. 4 SMU in its last meet
- BU comes into the meet at 1-3, finishing off an upset of Fresno State in its last time out at home
- Cowgirls Bella Holway (Fences) and June Roberson (Horsemanship) each earned a Big 12 Rider of the Month nod for October
- OSU owns the series at 40-13 overall and 2-22 in Stillwater; the Bears haven't beaten the Cowgirls since 2019
- Oklahoma State is looking for its first Big 12 win of the season, BU looking to improve to 2-1 in conference meets
- The Cowgirls have two MOPs from its two meets, Emma Filiatreau and Cadence Kueker
- The Bears boast MOPs in Flat from Lauren Stebbins, four in Fences from Lauren Reid and Kalena Reynolds in Reining
11/7 - Bridgewater at Centenary
- Bridgewater enters the meet at 2-1 while Centenary is looking for its first win at 0-5
- The Eagles are coming off a tiebreaker win over then-No. 3 Sweet Briar to face the Cyclones
- This is the second meet between the programs this season, BC winning 7-3 on 9/27; the Eagles took both MOPs in that meet with Willow Wright (88-79, Fences) and Margaret Brown (84-74, Flat)
- Centenary leads the all-time series at 2-1
11/7 - No. 1 Georgia at No. 7 TCU / Live Results
- Georgia is 4-0 headed into the meet whereas TCU is 2-3
- It will be UGA's second meet on the road of the season, TCU's third at home where the Horned Frogs are 2-1
- The Frogs have won the last three meets in the series but the Bulldogs narrowly lead the all-time series at 8-7
- TCU Reining horse Player was named NCEA Horse of the Month for October while Cassie Hacking was named Big 12 Rider of the Month for Reining
- This will be the Frogs' final meet of the Fall slate
- TCU has seven different MOP-earners so far this season, totaling 11 MOPs in all
- Georgia is boasting MOPs in every event as well, also with seven different riders earning at least one honor
11/7 - No. 5 Sweet Briar at No. 1 Lynchburg
- Sweet Briar is 1-2 heading into the meet while Lynchburg is 4-0
- Last time the programs faced each other was in the ODAC Head-to-Head Tournament, Lynchburg winning by tiebreaker on March 29
- The pair are tied at 7-7 in the all-time series
- SBC is coming off a tiebreaker loss to Bridgewater to enter the ring while Lynchburg last competed on 10/17, besting Bridgewater 7-3
11/7 - No. 10 UC Davis at Delaware State
- UC Davis leads the series at 6-4 all-time
- Delaware State sits at 1-1, 1-0 ECAC while Davis is 2-3, 1-0 ECAC so far on the season
- The Aggies just had two student-athletes earn Rider of the Month honors for the ECAC in Sophia Blake (Flat) and Mya Clader (Reining), along with Lola Sullivan earning NCEA Standout Student-Athlete of the Month, all for October
- UC Davis is coming off a loss to No. 1 Georgia to face DSU and UTM
- Delaware State hasn't competed since it hosted Georgia on 10/10, falling in that meet
11/7 - No. 10 UC Davis vs UT Martin (at Delaware State)
- UT Martin leads the all-time series at 4-3
- The Skyhawks are currently 2-2 and 2-1 in ECAC
- The Skyhawks come into the weekend after hosting No. 2 South Carolina and South Dakota State last weekend, going 1-1
- UTM earned three accolades from the ECAC for October including Fences Rider of the Month (Avery Pritchard), Standout Student-Athlete of the Month (Brianna Marks) and Horse of the Month (Winnie B)
11/8 - No. 1 Georgia at No. 4 Texas A&M / Live Results
- Texas A&M has a 3-1 record going into the meet with Georgia, and is 1-1 in SEC meets; the Bulldogs are sitting at 1-0 in conference play
- The all-time series is led by Georgia at 26-16
- The meet will honor Brittany Hildebrand ('14) for the Aggies
- The Aggies have hosted two meets thus far, winning both contests
- Texas A&M's Grace Shipman was named Ride of the Week for the NCEA for her Fences performance against Fresno State
- Last time in the ring, the Aggies bested then-No. 6 Fresno State, 13-5, at home
11/8 - No. 2 South Carolina at No. 3 Auburn / Live Results / Watch
- Auburn comes into the meet at 3-1 (0-1 SEC) while South Carolina is 5-1 (1-1 SEC)
- The Tigers lead the series at 39-21 and are 16-7 against the Gamecocks at home
- It is the Military Appreciation Meet for AU
- USC is coming off a two-meet weekend against UT Martin and South Dakota State, winning the pair
- AU returns home after three-straight meets in Texas, besting TCU last on 10/31
- Auburn's Sydney Swallom (Horsemanship) and Avery Glynn (Flat) earned NCEA Rider of the Month honors for October
11/8 - UT Martin at Delaware State
- UT Martin leads the all-time series at 17-9
- The last time the two met was on Feb. 21, 2025, where UTM won 13-6 and the Skyhawks swept the MOPs
MEET OF THE WEEK
11/9 - No. 3 Sacred Heart at No. 2 Dartmouth
- Sacred Heart and Dartmouth both come into the meet after defeating then-No. 2 College of Charleston, which boosted SHU into the polls and pushed Dartmouth up the ranks
- Both programs are also 2-0 headed into the competition
- The Pios' Erin Phillips earned an MOP against the Cougars with a 91-point score on the Flat, joining Carina Muratore (Fences) and Reagan Waggoner (Flat) with accolades so far this season
- Dartmouth's Elise Stephens (Flat) earned the MOP against CofC, bringing the accolade count to two for the green as she joins Cassidy Exner (Fences)
- Last time the two met was in the semifinals of the ECAC Single Discipline Championship, Dartmouth advancing
- The meet will be both programs' last of the Fall semester
About the NCEA
A non-profit corporation, the NCEA is a governing body to advance the sport of equestrian. The NCEA is responsible for the development and administration of equestrian rules and guidelines. Equestrian is subject to all NCAA policies and procedures in the same manner as other sports. In 1998, Equestrian was identified and adopted by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Committee on Women's Athletics (CWA) as an emerging sport for women at the Division I and II levels.
NCEA competitions are in a head-to-head format, and schools may choose to compete as a single or dual discipline team (Jumping Seat and Western). Each discipline has two events: in Jumping Seat, Fences and Flat, and in Western, Horsemanship and Reining. Teams can have five riders per event, with horses assigned by random draw at the start of the competition. Riders from opposing teams compete on the same horse, and whichever rider receives the higher score earns one point for her team. The level of difficulty is demonstrated by the accuracy of the pattern and how the competitor uses the horse to the best of her ability.
