NCEA Coaches Poll Released After Week 6

Four upsets shake things up

WACO, Texas – The National Collegiate Equestrian Association (NCEA) has released the sixth Coaches Poll, announced Tuesday, after completion of the sixth week of competition from October 30 through November 2.

South Carolina stayed steady at No. 2 after besting South Dakota State and UT Martin in Tennessee, as did Texas A&M after outdoing then-No. 6 Fresno State. With the loss to the Aggies and a loss to then-No. 10 Baylor, the Bulldogs fell to eighth and the Bears rose a spot to ninth. SMU was subsequently bumped to sixth with UC Davis dropped down to tenth. Neither Auburn nor TCU moved after the Tigers defeated the Horned Frogs in Burleson.

On the Single Discipline side, previous No. 2 College of Charleston was outdone by both then-No. 4 Dartmouth as well as an unranked Sacred Heart squad. SHU debuts at No. 3 in the Coaches Poll this week because of that, with CofC dropping to fourth and Dartmouth rising to second. Then-No. 3 Sweet Briar falls to fifth after a tiebreaker loss to Bridgewater.

The next Coaches Poll will be released on November 11.
