WACO, Texas – Week four is underway for the membership of the National Collegiate Equestrian Association (NCEA). Here's what to watch for with the fourth week of action!
This week's Meets of the Week are #4 Texas A&M at #2 South Carolina on Friday and Berry at #4 College of Charleston on Saturday.
10/16 – No. 5 TCU falls at No. 10 UC Davis, 13-7 / Scoresheet
- This was TCU's first road test, and UC Davis' third at home
- The two had not met since the 2023-24 season
- This was the sixth meeting between the programs, TCU leading 5-1; it was Davis' first win over the Frogs
- Aggies Anna Donovan (Fences) and Mya Clader (Reining) earned ECAC Rider of the Week honors after their meets with Texas A&M and South Dakota State
- TCU's Lilly Muzzy (Fences), Tatum Keller (Horsemanship) and Calla Thomas (Reining) earned MOPs while UC Davis' Lauren Kolbe earned it for Flat
DUAL DISCIPLINE MEET OF THE WEEK
10/17 – No. 2 South Carolina hosts No. 4 Texas A&M / Live Stats
- The 38th all-time meeting between the two teams
- Texas A&M leads the series 27-11 and has won eight of the last 10 meets
- With both teams in the SEC, the series is still led by the Aggies at 23-7
- South Carolina is coming off a week of practice after downing then-No. 2 SMU at home
- No. 4 Texas A&M heads to South Carolina after defeating UC Davis in California
- USC's Natalie Jayne (Fences) and Sarah Rabb (Flat) have MOPs so far this season
- The Aggies have MOPs in Logan Thomas (Fences) and Kendall Dirksin (HMS) for the season
10/17 – No. 5 TCU at No. 8 Fresno State / Live Stats / Live Stream
- TCU leads the series at 24-11, with Fresno State leading at home, 7-6
- This is TCU's third Big 12 meet of the season and the Bulldogs' first
- It will be Fresno State's second meet of the season
- Fresno's Paloma Primavera (Fences), Paris Mahoney (Flat), Abby Goddard (HMS) and Brogan Hill (Reining) earned the MOPs against South Dakota State.
10/17 – Bridgewater at No. 1 Lynchburg
- This will be Lynchburg's third meet of the season and the second for Bridgewater
- The Hornets have MOPs in Stella Patenaude and Mary Katherine Ragsdale (Fences) as well as Abigail Zemp and Abigail Devlin (Flat) for the season
- Eagles Willow Wright (Fences) and Margaret Brown (Flat) have earned MOPs thus far
10/17 – No. 2 Sweet Briar at No. 4 College of Charleston
- The second meet for both squads
- Olivia Lonneman has an MOP in Fences so far this season for CofC
- Along with Lonneman, Camilla Murray (Fences), Kenda Murray and Samantha Aisenberg (Flat) have wins for the Cougars
- SBC has MOPs in Naomi Dachis (Fences) and Maggie Booth (Flat) with point-earners also being Hallie Nelson, Sadie Swift and Wyette Felton (Fences) alongside Gracie Robertson and Felton (Flat)
- Vixen Wyette Felton was named the NCEA Standout Student-Athlete of the Month for September.
SINGLE DISCIPLINE MEET OF THE WEEK
10/18 – Berry College at No. 4 College of Charleston
- It will be Berry's first meet of the season and CofC's third
- Berry faces Auburn in a Single Discipline/Dual Discipline matchup on Friday, but does not count toward either schools' record
- The Vikings welcome back senior Meaghan Kursman, sophomores Willa Rose Akins and Haley Wilson, junior Emily Sudderth but lost Mary Collier Pope.
