Membership Ready for Week 5; NCEA Notebook

Seven meets to take place in week five

WACO, Texas – The National Collegiate Equestrian Association (NCEA) is raring to go in the fifth week of competition. Below is a preview of the action to come in the weekend of October 24-26 with seven meets ahead.

The Meet of the Week are No. 4 Texas A&M hosting No. 3 Auburn on Friday, with Single Discipline's Sacred Heart hosting Centenary on Saturday.

10/24 – #3 Auburn at #4 Texas A&M / Live Scoring
- Auburn enters the weekend with a record of 1-0, having defeated then-No. 8 Baylor last and hosting Berry in a single-discipline bout
- The pair are going into their 40th overall meet against each other, AU with a 31-8 meet advantage and having won the last three meets over the Aggies      
- For Auburn, Avery Glynn (FN), Caroline Olsen (FL), Sydney Swallom (HMS) and Alexia Tordoff (RN) have each earned an MOP
- Texas A&M's Logan Thomas (FN), Kendall Dirksen (HMS) and Kaylynn Heitman (HMS) have all earned MOPs so far this season

10/24 – #2 South Carolina at #1 Georgia / Live Scoring
- Both Georgia and South Carolina come into the meet at 2-0
- USC defeated No. 4 Texas A&M last time out, the second top-5 win for the Gamecocks on the season
- This will be the Bulldogs first SEC meet of the season
- It will be the 62nd meet between the two programs, with UGA leading the series 43-18
- Georgia is coming off a victory over Delaware State where Tessa Downey (FN), Abbey Zawisza (HMS) and Raegan Shepherd (RNG) all earned MOP
- Last time they faced off, USC returners Grace Rabb (Flat) and Carly Jenkins (Horsemanship) earned MOPs. Returning from UGA is the Fences MOP from that meet, Tessa Downey

10/24 – #2 South Carolina vs. #9 UC Davis (at #1 Georgia) / Live Scoring
- It will be South Carolina's second meet of the day
- UC Davis comes into the meet at 2-1; the Aggies recently faced No. 4 Texas A&M and South Dakota State
- This will be the fourth meeting all-time between the two, with USC leading 2-1
- The last time they met, USC took the Fences and Horsemanship MOPs with Natalie Jayne and Carly Jenkins while the Aggies had Lauren Kolbe in Flat

10/25 – #3 Auburn at #7 SMU / Live Scoring
- SMU recently faced then-No. 7 Oklahoma State and fell, and heads into the meet at 0-2
- The Tigers are 12-5 against SMU going into the 18th overall meeting
- Last season the pair each won a meet against each other at their home facilities
- SMU's Violet Shelter (HMS), Augusta Iwasaki (FN) and Ava Blyth (HMS) have each earned an MOP so far this season, with Madison Rafacz (RNG) earning two

10/25 – Centenary at Sacred Heart
- This will be SHU's first NCEA meet of the season
- Centenary enters the meet at 0-3
- The Cyclones' Aislinn Bermingham (Fences and Flat), Sophie Kassel (FL), Sutton Suelthaus (FN), Kayley Besbris (FN) and Eva Froio (FN) have earned points so far this season

10/25 – #9 UC Davis at #1 Georgia / Live Scoring
- It will be the third overall meeting between UC Davis and Georgia
- It's the Aggies' first time competing at Georgia
- Last time they met was November 2024 with UCD returner Lauren Kolbe earning the Flat MOP while returners Tessa Brown (FN) and Raegan Shepherd (RNG) also were named MOPs

10/26 – Centenary at Dartmouth
- Dartmouth will have its first meet against Centenary, coming off their NCEA Single Discipline Championship in April
- It is the first program meeting for the two
- The Big Green return Ariat All-Americans Cassidy Exner, Samantha Takacs and Elise Stephens
