Dr. Leah Fiorentino is being inducted into the Special Contributor category following 10 years of outstanding service to the NCEA as the Executive Director. She was charged with tall tasks and flourished, making key connections and relationships across the industry to push collegiate equestrian further and making it a sustainable opportunity for women in sport. Fiorentino helped cement the National Advisory Board for the NCEA, became the sport’s liaison to the NCAA, and worked alongside the USOPC and the Office of Inclusion. She was integral to forming the USEF/NCEA Junior Hunter Seat Medal Final with the US Equestrian Federation and continued to nourish that relationship. Her work shaped the NCEA into what it is today and created lasting impact by ushering in the Distinguished Alumni program and the Hall of Fame. She came at a time of great need and set the foundation for which the NCEA stands on today.
